5 Recipes to Stay Cool this Summer with Daily Greens Plus

Green Cloud Smoothie

1 serving // Prep time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

Green layer

  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder

  • ½ scoop (1 teaspoon) Thorne’s Daily Greens Plus

  • 2 tablespoons water

  • 2 tablespoons vanilla nut milk of choice, unsweetened

  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Smoothie Base

  • ¾ cup zucchini chunks, peeled and frozen

  • ⅓ cup canned coconut milk, frozen into ice cubes

  • ¾ cup vanilla nut milk of choice, unsweetened

  • 1 serve protein powder of choice (suggested flavour: vanilla)

  • 1 tablespoon nut butter

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the matcha powder, Daily Greens Plus, and water until smooth. Add the nut milk and maple syrup and whisk together. Set aside.

  2. Put all Smoothie Base ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.

  3. Serve the smoothie in a glass and top with the matcha green layer, stirring slightly using a spoon or straw.

  4. Enjoy!

Super Green Smoothie

1 serving // Prep time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 serve protein powder of choice (suggested flavour: vanilla)

  • 1.5c water or milk

  • 1 tablespoon almond butter

  • ½ banana (fresh or frozen)

  • 1 scoop (2 teaspoons) Thorne’s Daily Greens Plus

Directions

  1. Put all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Add more liquid as needed.

  2. Enjoy!

Mint Chocolate Protein Shake

1 serving // Prep time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 serve protein powder of choice (suggested flavour: vanilla)

  • 1.5c water or milk

  • 1 tablespoon almond butter

  • ½ banana (fresh or frozen)

  • 1 scoop (2 teaspoons) Thorne’s Daily Greens Plus

Directions

  1. Put all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Add more liquid as needed.

  2. Enjoy!

Green Golden Milk Latte

1 serving // Prep time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk

  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric

  • ½ teaspoon grated fresh ginger root or ¼ teaspoon ground ginger

  • 2 teaspoons sugar

  • 1 scoop (2 teaspoons) Thorne’s Daily Greens Plus

Directions

  1. In a small pot over medium heat, whisk together the milk, turmeric, ginger, and sugar until mixture is steaming, but not boiling.

  2. Remove from heat and whisk in Daily Greens Plus.

  3. Taste for sweetness, adding additional sugar as needed.

  4. Enjoy warm!

Green Mint Julep

1 serving // Prep time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 60ml ginger beer/ale or nonalcoholic bourbon

  • 30ml water

  • 2 teaspoons sugar

  • 6-8 fresh mint leaves

  • ½ teaspoon Thorne’s Daily Greens Plus

  • Crushed ice

  • 1 mint sprig, for garnish

Directions

  1. Put bourbon, water, sugar, mint, and Daily Greens into a glass and stir to dissolve.

  2. Fill glass with crushed ice and stir to chill and dilute.

  3. Garnish with a mint sprig.
